• 750ml (3 cups) water
  • 100g (1/2 cup) caster sugar
  • 125ml (1/2 cup) honey
  • 2 pears, peeled
  • 1 x 7cm cinnamon stick (see note)
  • 250 pkt Home Brand Gingernut Biscuits
  • 200g brie
  • Stir the water, sugar and honey in a medium saucepan over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
  • Add the pears and cinnamon. Bring to the boil. Reduce heat to low. Simmer gently for 1 hour. Set aside to cool completely.
  • Remove the pears from the syrup. Arrange on a serving platter or cheese board with the biscuits and brie.
